Commissions

There are different mediums I use to create a portrait - graphite, colour pencil, water colour, acrylic and oil painting.

The size quoted here is A3 (12x16 inches) for pencil work and 16 x 20 inches for painting.

All materials are of high grade professional archival standard.

Artwork on paper is supplied with backing board and mount ready for framing.

I've tried to keep the process as simple as I can, but please contact me to discuss your requirements.

Prices stated expire end May 2016.

The Subject

I work from photographs so all I ask is for a selection of the best photos you have showing as much detail as possible.

Stages and Prices

No obligation until the end of stage 3

Graphite

High detailed graphite pencil on archival paper sealed with a UV fixed sealant to stop smudges or fading. Price is based on one subject without background

12 x 16 inches from £80

Acrylic  Painting

On linen canvas and the finished painting is sealed with a gloss varnish. Size is 16 x 20 inches. Price is based on one subject without background

16 X 20 inches from £145

Colour Pencil

I use oil based pencils that have a high colour pigment. All work is done on archival high grade paper.

Price is based on one subject without background

12 x 16 inches from £100

Oil   Painting

Oil Painting take the longest so you have to order well in advance. This is because of drying time. Price is based on one subject without background

    We will discuss all that will be needed for the portrait and I will advise the best medium for the subject if you don't have a preference

    A 2-4 week notice is required

  • 3. Agreement

    A contract will be drawn with the details of the commission process and the agreed terms.

    A deposit of 20% is required at this stage
